Why Bespoke?
"Bespoke" is an adjective commonly used in British English to refer to something made individually, or "custom-made." It is a word that our chocolatier fell in love with while working in London and it has since become the guiding principle of our company philosophy.
Each of our chocolates is made by hand, in small batches, but our unique commitment to a bespoke product goes deeper than that. What sets Bespoke Chocolates apart from many of the other chocolatiers in New York City is that we work with several different kinds of high-quality dark, milk and white chocolate to create our confections. For us, the differences between chocolates go far beyond "milk" versus "dark" or variations in cacao percentages. We recognize that much like good wine or coffee, fine chocolate is complex, and highly affected by its terroir and processing.
At Bespoke Chocolates, we customize every recipe to best feature the beautiful nuances that exist in each different chocolate. This thoughtful development process, combined with our incredible ingredients and artisanal craftsmanship results in delicious confections that simultaneously intrigue and satisfy.
